Yoga and Its Yogic Meaning

People often imagine yoga as stretching and twisting into impossible physical postures, yet this is only part of its ancient philosophy practice. Yoga has been used for thousands of years to calm mind's fluctuations and foster spiritual awakening.

Yoga is a system of discipline encompassing the whole body, including breathing. Yoga connects individual consciousness with universal consciousness while neutralizing ego-driven thoughts and behaviours. If practiced consistently, yoga leads to Nirvicara Samadhi - a state of complete calmness and bliss.

Regular practitioners of yoga are known as yogis or yogissiddhas. According to Collins Dictionary, a yogi is defined as someone who has become deeply immersed in its philosophy and reached an advanced spiritual state.

Yoga may have numerous practical applications, yet its philosophy remains extremely complex and multifaceted. Yoga can be practiced through five main approaches: Raja Yoga (meditation and strict adherence to its eight limbs of yoga), Karma Yoga (service), Bhakti Yoga (devotion), Jnana Yoga (wisdom), and Tantra Yoga. Each approach has its own distinctive practices but they all share one ultimate aim - becoming so integrated with Rudra's cosmic energy that your consciousness expands far beyond physical limits into Rudra's cosmic energies.
