A person’s sense of smell can impact their appetite, dietary preferences, and how much they eat. It also affects their body’s metabolism and how much fat is burned when they eat. Fortunately, a person can lose weight by changing their habits, which includes not eating when they smell food.

What is that Smell Food Fitness Family is a fun and easy game that helps children learn about different scents. The game was created by an occupational therapist and is recommended for kids between the ages of 3 and 8. Children play the game together, and one player allows another to sniff a food or beverage and guess what it is. The game includes 24 picture cards, 6 scent sticks, and instructions.

Interestingly, many healthy foods can be quite smelly. Broccoli, hard-boiled eggs, and onions are just a few examples. However, the same thing that gives these foods their strong aromas – sulfur – also makes them nutritious. Some genetic conditions, certain medications, and nutritional deficiencies can interfere with a person’s sense of smell. This can cause a person to eat differently or avoid some foods altogether. Some people may even be unable to smell or taste some foods, and this can cause them to lose weight. However, these situations are rare and are often caused by an underlying condition.
