Taoist Meditation: Concentration And Realization

Taoist meditation

Taoism is an ancient Chinese philosophy that teaches ways to exist peacefully with the universe. With Taoist meditation, you learn techniques that help with concentration, contemplation, and visualization. With concentration, you aim to silence external, negative thoughts. And allow yourself to gain inner peace. Check out the Taoist meditation below.

The world is a strange place. It can beautiful, but it can also be chaotic. It’s very easy to fall prey to negativity, and get wrapped up in the stress of it all. Once you start down that path, it’s hard to get out of it. This is why Taoist meditation is so helpful. And why it has been used for centuries. This meditation is geared toward getting you to a place of calm. It works to silence all of your inner thought, and any external stimuli, and reach a quiet and harmonious state.

Imagine this: You wake up in the morning, well-rested. You go about your day with a sense of self-realization and happiness. Then you hear some bad news, or maybe some criticism, and it rolls right off of you. You don’t internalize it, and you don’t let it ruin the rest of your day. With Taoist meditation, this is possible.

Taoism and Buddhism are very similar in their belief systems. With Buddhism, the goal is to reach Nirvana. Nirvana is a state of mind where you reach complete and perfect happiness. Where there is no pain or suffering. However, there also isn’t a sense of self. It’s almost like you have transcended. With Taoism, the goal is to reach a blissful state while still maintaining your ties to the earth. You aim to reach the cosmos and become one with nature, all while maintaining who you are. It’s a great belief system, and an even greater meditation technique.
