Spiritual development requires patience and persistence through all its complexities.
As part of spiritual development, some key activities include reading the bible daily, engaging in prayer and meditation practices, showing love to others through service, listening to worship music and being open-minded towards different religious teachings in order to learn from and grow with them.
Spiritual growth can be challenging due to your ego-mind's attempt at dominating every situation and convincing you that they're in charge. To facilitate spiritual development, let go of needing control and allow Spirit to guide all decisions. Be a witness of your own spiritual progress by tracking levels of love, joy, peace, patience, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness faith meekness temperance and brotherly kindness within yourself and within others.
Attend church services regularly, participate in life groups and use your gifts to serve others with. Be a positive role model to those around you; mentor those younger than yourself. Visit mosques, temples, or churches that are famous for their beautiful architecture, sacred art or devotional music - this will only enhance your spiritual experience further.
Take time out for yourself by attending a spiritual retreat or silent meditation trip, where you can focus on reconnecting with yourself and with the divine. While on these trips, consider keeping a journal to track how it has affected you.
