Sam's Club Members' Mark Salsa

Salsa is the perfect companion for chips or a delicious topping for tacos, enchiladas, eggs and more. It can even be poured over chicken tortilla soup! And it's as fresh as it gets—the vegetables in this Member's Mark salsa are never cooked and the veggies, onion and cilantro are jarred within hours of being picked. Plus, it's gluten-free and has no added sugar or preservatives.

While the Young Lords declined in the 1970s, their occupation of First Spanish United Methodist Church (FSUMC) or La Iglesia del Pueblo in Spanish Harlem became a hub for social activism and community service, including free neighborhood programs, health clinics and a popular political education curriculum rooted in Afro Latin history. In addition to their community projects, the Young Lords organized concerts to support their causes. The husband-and-wife folk duo Pepe y Flora brought musica jibara, or traditional folk songs from rural Puerto Rico's mountain region, and Latin American protest songs to the Nuyorican cultural scene. The group's song of national pride, Que Bonita Bandera ("What a Beautiful Flag"), would become the organization's unofficial anthem.

Like all Sam's Club products, Members' Mark items are carefully sourced and made to ensure quality at an affordable price. Chandra Holt, vice president of Private Brands for Sam's Club, says the brand scours the globe for great-value offerings—including mouthwatering frozen lasagna traced back to an Italian family recipe and olive oil sourced from Madrid, Spain. Sam's Club parent company Walmart is also committed to making sure its products meet sustainability goals.
