Richard Rohr, a Franciscan priest of the New Mexico Province, is one of the most provocative Christian thinkers of our time. He has gained a devoted following for his vision of Christianity, which is founded on the open-minded search for spiritual relevance in a transforming nature.

He runs the Center for Action and Contemplation in Albuquerque, New Mexico, a meditation hub and religious school that many of his students refer to as Little Vatican City. He has written a number of books, and has become known as an ecumenical teacher of universal awakening within the Catholic contemplative tradition.

His latest book, The Universal Christ, centers on showing a deep cosmic meaning for the term “Christ.” According to the Amazon description, Rohr “draws on scripture, history, and spiritual practice to articulate a transformative view of Jesus that is centered on a holistic universe in which God loves things by becoming them. For Rohr, Jesus is the incarnation of this Cosmic Christ.”

The Daily Meditations are email reflections featuring Richard Rohr and guest teachers reflecting on the wisdom and practices of the Christian contemplative tradition. They are a great way to deepen your prayer practice and strengthen compassionate engagement in the world.

3-Minute Retreats

3-Minute Retreats are a great way to take a short prayer break right at your computer or mobile device. They include short meditative readings, reflective music and questions. The sessions are a great fit for busy lives, and they can help you find a moment to reflect on a particular Scripture passage.
