Then, write down a few positive or grounding affirmations that will resonate with you. Then, sit in a quiet place and close your eyes for 20 to 30 minutes while you meditate with your affirmations.

Visualization is also a powerful technique for using positive affirmations. When you feel the emotions you want to develop, imagine yourself experiencing them. For example, if you are wanting to develop courage, imagine yourself standing up to a bully or overcoming a fear of heights.

The more you visualize your affirmations, the more they will stick with you. You may even find that they become so ingrained in your mind that you don’t need to repeat them as often to remember them!
