How to Use Tea for Meditation

Tea meditation is a simple mindfulness practice that can be done anytime of the day. The first step is to mindfully drink your tea, paying attention to its flavor and aroma.

Next, it is important to choose a tea that will help you achieve a meditative state. A good option is green tea, as it offers a lot of health benefits without having a strong taste or too much caffeine.

A calming herbal tea such as chamomile or peppermint can also be helpful. These herbs can help reduce stress and anxiety, boost creativity and work as a muscle relaxant.

Consider the mood you are in and what you want to accomplish today when choosing your tea. I recommend choosing a loose leaf tea, something that you can prepare with care.

When brewing your tea, pay close attention to the process, such as watching the boiling water rise and changing states. This will help you to focus your mind and make your tea meditation experience more enjoyable.

Find a comfortable place to meditate and a small tea bowl or mug that feels good in your hands. This can be a mug that you got from a friend, one that brings positive vibes or even a mug with a special message.

Then, pour a small amount of water into your kettle and listen to the bubbling sound of the water. Then, sit and relax for a few minutes. This is a time to practice self-care and to show yourself gratitude for making this special moment happen.
