How to Use a Beard Derma Roller

For men with patchy or thin facial hair, healthy habits like a good diet, regular exercise and plenty of sleep might not be enough to spur new whisker growth. For guys who are looking for an extra boost to help them grow a fuller and thicker beard, using a beard derma roller can be an effective treatment.

Before you use your beard derma roller, make sure it’s clean and ready for microneedling by soaking it in isopropyl alcohol. This will sterilize the needles and ensure that your face is free of dirt or bacteria before you begin. You should also wear loose-fitting clothing and a beard-friendly moisturizer to minimize the risk of irritation.

Once your beard derma roller is clean, carefully examine the areas of your skin that need the most attention. Identify any balding or patchy spots and concentrate on those areas. It’s also a good idea to use a beard enhancing serum after each micro-needling session to see the best results.

When rolling your skin, work in small sections and don’t over-do it. Each area only needs to be rolled about ten times before you move on to the next one. The more you roll, the more likely you are to cause irritation and damage your skin.

Remember, you’ll be causing tiny injuries to your facial skin and it’s important that you do this sparingly in order to avoid damage. If you’re using a 1.0mm beard derma roller, for example, only roll your skin 2-3 times a week, leaving 48 hours between each treatment.
