How to Serve Brie

Brie is a soft, buttery cheese that's creamy and mild in flavor. It pairs beautifully with a wide range of foods, including deli meats and fruits. It's best served at room temperature, but you can also bake it into melty gooey goodness. You can also dress it up in a pastry or use it as an ingredient in recipes.

Whether you want to serve it on a platter or as part of a cheese and charcuterie spread, you can create the perfect presentation with a bit of planning. The first step is removing the cheese from the refrigerator about an hour before you plan to serve it. This allows the brie to reach its ideal serving temperature and makes it easier to slice. If you're using a wedge of brie, consider cutting a couple of small wedges ahead of time to give your guests an idea of appropriate serving sizes.

The best way to serve a wedge of brie is on toasted baguette slices. Drizzle a little olive oil over the bread and sprinkle with minced garlic before toasting it in the oven. Fill each slice with a piece of brie and garnish it with chopped walnuts, dried cranberries or rosemary leaves.

If you're serving a whole wheel of brie, you can make an impressive presentation by wrapping it in puff pastry. This will add gourmet flair to your table and is sure to impress your guests. Just be careful not to over wrap the brie, as the excess can cause it to lose its texture and flavor.
