How to Remove Henna From Eyebrows

Henna lasts a little longer on the eyebrows than most hair dye, but it is still prone to running and washing off if the color becomes over saturated. The best way to prevent this is by avoiding swimming in salt water and regularly rubbing the brows and applying a good organic cleanser. Rubbing alcohol can also be used to remove henna, but it is very drying and can leave the skin with a terrible "swimming-pool smell" that could lead to cracked or scaly skin. This is not a desirable outcome. Another great solution is to use a specialized henna and dye remover that is specially formulated for this purpose.

Henna dye is naturally soluble in water and sugar, so these substances will help to fade it. Lemon juice is one of the most effective ways to lift the stains and wash them away, but it should be carefully applied so that the skin is not harmed. You can also use a decoction made of dried chamomile flowers, which is gentle on the skin and can effectively fade the stains into invisibility.

Micellar water is a popular beauty product that does a great job at removing makeup and cleaning the skin, but it can also be used to lift the henna stain. You should soak a cotton pad in the micellar water and apply it to the stains for about 15-20 minutes before rinsing off thoroughly. You can combine it with sugar or olive oil for extra strength.
