How to Pass a Mouth Swab Drug Test

A mouth swab drug test is a quick and fairly accurate way of testing saliva for the presence of drugs. It’s used by a variety of agencies and employers to screen employees or potential new hires before they’re hired, especially in jobs that require a driving license.

A swab is taken from the inside of the mouth, usually from the gum line and under the tongue where saliva is thickest. The swab is then analyzed for the presence of drug metabolites that can cause a positive result on a drug test. In some cases, the person administering the test will rinse the mouth beforehand to remove any contaminants that might interfere with the results.

Generally, drugs can only be detected in a person’s saliva for up to 72 hours after they’ve ingested them. However, if you’re a heavy user of marijuana (or any other drug) it might take longer for the compounds to reach your saliva.

Mouth swab tests are easy to pass if you don’t use any drugs for a few days before the test. But many people are required to show up for a test without being given much advance notice. In those situations, you’ll need to know how to pass a mouth swab without much notice. Here are a few tips on how to do so.
