How to Heal a Torn Rotator Cuff Naturally

Our shoulders help us do a lot of essential things, like lifting heavy objects, picking something off a high shelf, throwing a baseball, or simply raising your arm overhead to speak. Our bodies make these movements look effortless, but they are the result of a lot of muscles and tendons working together, including those found within our rotator cuff. That is why a torn rotator cuff can be so frustrating and debilitating. Thankfully, there are several natural treatments that can help heal your rotator cuff without going under the knife.

The first thing to do is rest your shoulder. This means stopping any activities that may aggravate the injury and avoiding overusing the injured area. It is also important to use ice packs to reduce pain and inflammation, especially in the first few days after an injury.

Once the pain and inflammation have subsided, it is a good idea to start doing some strengthening exercises to improve the stability of your shoulder and decrease your chances of re-injury. One good exercise is the standing row. To do this, stand with your feet hip distance apart and hold a weight in your hand. Pull the weight across your chest to about waist height, pause for a second, and then lower the weight back down to the starting position. Do this about 5x per side.

Another great way to help heal your rotator cuff is to combine cold and heat therapy. Applying a TShellz Wrap to your shoulder can help increase blood flow to the area, relax the muscles, and increase range of motion. This can be done 2-3 times a day, for 15-20 minutes each time.
