How to Get Hollow Cheekbones

Hollow cheekbones are a coveted look in the modeling industry. People unconsciously associate them with a healthy lifestyle and sexual maturity. They are also a symbol of youthfulness and trustworthiness, according to several studies. Fortunately, there are many ways to achieve this coveted look, without undergoing surgery. These include losing body fat, contouring your face with makeup, and learning the art of mewing. Other more invasive options include buccal fat reduction surgery and dermal fillers.

When you hear the term “hollow cheeks”, it refers to a sunken appearance of your cheeks caused by the loss of facial fat. This can be a natural part of the aging process or may be exacerbated by other factors, such as genetics or specific medical conditions. This is why it’s important to discuss your concerns with a doctor and find a solution that suits your needs.

The nasoorbitoethmoidal complex consists of the two maxillae bones and the two zygomatic bones (cheekbones). The cheek bone is also known as the malar bone because it sits between the upper eye socket and the jaw. To palpate the cheekbone, place your finger on the lower lateral corner of your orbit (eye socket). The area you feel is the zygomatic bone.

The lower part of the cheek is supported by the nasoorbitoethmoidal and the buccal fat pads. The buccal fat pad is a large fatty mass located on the inside of your cheeks. This fatty tissue provides volume to the cheeks and gives them their fullness.
