How to Draw a Camel

When it comes to drawing animals, there aren't many creatures as distinctive as the camel. Its humped back, curved neck, and droopy face are all unique features that give this animal its special look. The good news is that learning how to draw a camel is pretty easy! Just follow this simple step-by-step tutorial and you will have a beautiful camel sketch in no time.

Begin by locating the center of your paper. Then draw two circles as guides for the body of the camel. Make sure that the circle on the left is slightly smaller than the one on the right. Next, draw a curved line that connects the main body and head to form a neck.

On either side of the head, draw a rounded figure for the ears. You can also add a short curved line on the top of the head to create a nose. To finish the neck, draw an elongated, narrow curved shape that will become the long camel's neck.

Next, add the legs. Make sure that you keep the sizes of the first two legs similar to those of the camel's humps. Draw another curved line for the tail. Finally, add the eyes. To draw the eyes, you can use a rounded oval figure with a slightly pointed end.

Camels are highly social and live in herds led by a dominant adult male. They communicate with each other using a variety of sounds, including moans and groans, high-pitched bleats, and loud bellows. They can drink saltwater slush to avoid dehydration, and their long legs help them avoid overheating in hot desert conditions. They also have special glands that allow them to withstand extreme temperature changes.
