How Long is 8 Weeks?

If you’re in your eighth week of pregnancy, you have almost completed half of your nine-month journey. At this point, your baby is growing at a steady pace and could be born any day. If your baby is born before week 37 or nine months, it is considered premature and has a greater risk of complications.

If your doctor hasn’t done so already, they will most likely order an ultrasound at around 8 weeks pregnant to check on the health of your baby. The results of the ultrasound will help them determine when your due date will be.

At 8 weeks, your baby is getting bigger by the minute. Their eyes are now forming under their skin, and lips and noses are starting to take shape. Their feet and hands are becoming more webbed, too, although it is still too early to tell if you’re having a boy or girl.

If you’re wondering how many months there are in 8 weeks, use our free online unit converter. Simply select the unit of measurement you want to convert from (e.g., days), enter the quantity you wish to convert (e.g., eight), and select the unit of measurement you want to convert to (e.g., months). The converter will do the rest of the work for you and display the result, which in this case is 1.839875 months. You can also calculate this number using the inverse process: one month is equal to 0.543515625 x eight weeks.
