Eckhart Tolle and the Eckhart Tolle Mansion

Ekhart tolle Mansion

When entering his Vancouver condo, you come upon a trim, compact 61-year-old in beige sweater vest and khaki slacks who greets you warmly before offering his card and leading the way into his living room.

Eckhart Tolle is one of the world's best-known spiritual teachers today. His two foundational books, The Power of Now and A New Earth, have sold more than three million North American copies each and been translated into 33 languages - earning him appearances on Oprah Winfrey's daytime talk show as well as hosting an unprecedented 10-week webinar last year.

His teachings largely center around living in the present and transcending one's ego through spiritual awakening - two concepts which resonated deeply with many and made a meaningful difference in their lives.

But Tolle's wealth seems at odds with his messages of spiritual awakening, particularly his mention of illusionary existence as an excuse for people's ignorance; is Tolle aware of how disillusionment may follow when spiritual teachers become so wealthy?

Tolle's rising popularity has also raised questions regarding his methods and finances. Tolle makes his teachings available for anyone to access through books and online videos; however, his public events are usually prohibitively costly; tickets for one of his lectures in London typically range between PS50-75 per ticket for admission plus any books or DVDs sold during that event.
