Deepak Chopra sleep meditation is a powerful and natural method to induce restful sleep. It removes uneasiness and stress from the mind by establishing mindfulness through breathing awareness techniques.

This meditation helps you get in touch with your innate source of self-empowerment, joy, ease and stress-relief. It teaches you to live in the present, appreciate what comes your way, release external approval and judgmental behavior, replace fear-motivated actions with love-motivated ones, nurture positive emotions and express them freely.

How to Practice It:

Start by meditating just once a day for at least 15 minutes, and gradually work your way up to 20. It's gentle but effective, and can have an incredible impact on your happiness.

The best way to get started is with a simple heart meditation, which Dr. Chopra recommends: Sit down, close your eyes and breathe normally. Once you feel centered, place your attention on your heart, and return it to that center whenever it wanders.

He recommends using a mantra for meditation, too. A popular one is "So Hum," which involves inhaling and exhaling with the words, "so" and "hum." Repeating it silently to yourself will help your mind settle down and put you to sleep fast.

Other options include yoga nidra, which is a mind-body technique that helps you relax consciously while in the alpha brainwave state between waking and dreaming. It also has the added benefit of helping you enter the dream state, which can be a key to getting better sleep and avoiding insomnia-related issues.
