Darth Vader Meditation Chamber Review

darth vader meditation chamber

Recreate dramatic moments from the Star Wars saga with this Darth Vader meditation chamber. Designed to feel plucked right off the screen, it features a three-sided desk, a custom-upholstered seat and even a built-in lamp shaped like the crane that held Darth Vader’s helmet.

It’s easy to get lost in the intricate design of this set, but the main attraction is a play feature that captures the movements that made the chamber so memorable onscreen. Using Technic, the upper half of the hemisphere can be raised and lowered, reflecting how it was opened and closed in The Empire Strikes Back.

The curved shape of the chamber is an interesting one to achieve, a combination of angled shapes and angular lines reaching up to the sky. In order to achieve this, the hemispheres are separated with two sections protruding, each of which is connected by a ratcheted joint that allows them to be opened or closed.

This is a brilliant way to bring the model to life, and a great match for the LeLightGo lighting kit we mentioned earlier. Once fitted, the lights will shine down on the model and make it a truly magical sight, both in the daytime and at night.

The Darth Vader minifigure in 75296 Meditation Chamber is a welcome return after his appearance last year with 75291 Death Star Final Duel, and it looks as good as ever. It’s the first time he has been available in his regular Imperial outfit, a pleasing change from his previous appearances which have all focused on his Hoth armour. He also comes with a blaster pistol and dual-moulded legs.
