Colors for Meditation
People who meditate see colors in their minds as they practice. It can be an enjoyable and calming experience.
Seeing colors in your mind can also be a sign that you are healing. However, it is important to understand what the color means in order to make the most of your time and improve your meditation experiences.
Red – Root Chakra
Red is the color of the root chakra, which is linked to your body’s base energy. When you see this color during meditation, it is a reminder to connect with your ancestors and root issues that are manifesting in your physical body.
Blue – Heart Chakra
Blue is associated with a sense of harmony and contentment, so it’s often used in meditative practices that aim for this. It can be particularly helpful if you are trying to overcome negative feelings and beliefs, such as fear or self-judgment.
Indigo – Third Eye Chakra
Experiencing the color indigo is often associated with deep concentration and intuition. It is also associated with alpha brain waves, which can help you reach a state of deep relaxation and spiritual connection.
Brown – Sacral Chakra
The color brown is connected to earth and stability. It can be particularly useful if you’re trying to create strong boundaries around your meditation time and build self-care into your life.
Golden Light – Solar Plexus Chakra
Seeing gold during meditation may indicate a feeling of connection with your “super mind.” This is a high-level consciousness that is separate from the physical mind. It can also be a sign of an increase in your self-love, self-awareness, happiness and inner peace.
