Benefits of Durood
The Prophet (Peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Every Muslim should recite Durood Shareef in all the prayers.”
A person who recites Durood the most times daily is nearest and dearest to the Holy Prophet (Sallal Laahu Alaihi Wasallam) on the day of judgment. The Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings of the Almighty be upon him) has assigned several Angels to collect all the Durood Shareef and present it before Him as soon as possible.
He has also blessed us with a Durood Sharif which is the ultimate Durood. It requries the blessings of Allah on the Holy Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) in a millionfold of every atom created by the Almighty in the universe.
The first benefit of this Durood is that it eradicates poverty and hunger. The second benefit is that it purifies the heart, especially when the reciter focuses on it as a means of making dua to the Almighty.
It is also an effective way to pray for your loved ones. Reciting Durood for a loved one will help that person become closer to you and protect them on the Day of Judgment.
Another benefit of reciting Durood is that it helps you remember the forgotten things in your life, as long as you repeat it. For example, if you forget to take a meal, recite Durood and the forgotten item will come back to you.
The recitation of Durood also gives you inner peace, as you will know that all your prayers are accepted by the Almighty. It is also a great source of comfort, as it helps you to feel protected and safe.
