Meditation doesn’t have to be about seeking answers from the universe. Or quieting the thoughts in your mind. Or even relieving stress. Sometimes, meditation is just about learning to let go and allowing yourself to live in the moment. Learning how to accept the things that you simply can not change. Adyashanti is a spiritual teacher, that specializes in this technique.  Check out the Adyashanti Meditation below.

Letting go of control, for some people, is the hardest thing to learn to do. When things in our life start to feel beyond our control, it becomes easy to enter a downward spiral. If only there was a way to help stop this cycle. Turns out, there is. Adyashanti is a spiritual teacher that believes in mind over matter. They believe in the power of letting everything be as it is. When you stop trying to control things that are out of your control, you are able to find an inner peach. However, that is much easier said than done.

The name Adyashanit translates to “primordial peace.” Finding inner peace is something that humans strive for, whether they realize it or not. A lot of the time we search for meditations that help us seek guidance to concerns we have. Or we are trying so hard to focus on our own thoughts, and that in itself can be a distraction. This meditation is special because it takes the pressure off. It not only allows your thoughts to run rampant, it actually encourages it. There is great power in letting go. Listen to your instincts, and in the end, learn to accept things as they are. We become much happier when we are able to do this. It’s almost as if a weight is lifted off of our chest. 

One thing I love about the Adyashanti meditation is its theory. They state that meditation is something that is happening. Instead of meditation being something that you do. I love this because it makes you realize that meditation is all around you, and it takes the pressure off of trying to “be good” at it. It really encompasses the idea of letting go and letting things be as they are.
