There are so many different meditations. Most are focused on a specific thing. A lot of them are defined by their time. There are five minute meditations, ten minute meditations, and so on. There are also different categories. Meditating for any amount of time a day is always beneficial. However, if you allow yourself more time, then you are opening yourself up for even more meditations. I think 45 minutes is a great window of time. It allows you to really be able to sink into your mind and get into a relaxed state. There are a lot of different 45 minute meditations that are geared towards different goals. However, my favorite is the body scan. This brings me peace every time. And with the time that you allow for it, you are really able to get the most out of it. Check out the 45 minute meditation below.
45 Minute Meditation
With the full body scan meditation, you are able to reach full relaxation. Not only in the physical sense, but also the emotional sense. It is helpful when you are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, or anxious. Even more so when you can’t quite pinpoint the cause of these nagging feelings.
It’s a guided meditation that allows you to find the root of your issue. The guide has you go into a deep state of relaxation, before the scanning begins. You start at the top of your head, and go all the way down to your toes. It’s a slow process. You take your time, and as you scan down your body, you really take notice of how everything feels. Sometimes a particular body part reaches out to you, and you can pause and take more time there. It helps you feel at ease, when maybe you weren't even sure that you needed ease there.

While doing this, it is very common to feel lightheaded, tingly, or even numb in certain areas. This just helps you become aware of tenseness that you weren’t aware of before. After the full body scan, you feel more peaceful, calm, happy, and alert. You are able to pinpoint just what emotions are surrounding you, and have a much more positive outlook. Take a look at the guided meditation below, and try it out for yourself.
